Happy 4th of July!

What a beautiful day!

The weather was perfect today
We walked down to the parade in town
with some family and friends...

I'm so glad we staked out a spot on Saturday morning.
We were in the shade and I think we had the most perfect spot
along the WHOLE parade route!

After the parade,
we headed out to Lake Emily
to Auntie Jan's and Unlce Ike's
for their annual 4th of July party.

After a yummy ham & salad lunch,
the girls got lots of playing time in the lake
with all their cousins!

Eric and Lynn brought their boat and StingRay
for boat rides.

Both Paige and Claire had a turn.

The lake was nice!
Sophie enjoyed a little time in the lake.
Then it was time to relax and sit in the shade and visit for awhile.

And then the crash.
Sophie is on day 5 without a nap.
She does pretty well until about 5:00 pm.
Then, it gets a little hairy.
She was mad at me because we filled up a lemonade glass for her
(apparently she wanted to do it herself).
So, she went to pout in the porch behind the end table.
Guess what?
She fell asleep back there!
