Sunday was a fabulous afternoon!
Three of my very dear friends from my nursing class at GAC
came for a short visit.
Abbey was in MN visiting from Maine.
She spent the afternoon and night Sunday before she
headed up to WI to see her parents.
Abbey brought her 2 beautiful kiddos - Jackson and Kate.
And friends Rachel and Angie joined us with their kiddos for the afternoon.
Rachel has Anders who turned one this spring.
Ang has 3 kiddos - Makenna, Payton, and Tyler.
That's nine kids, ages 9 and under.
They had fun playing together at our house for the afternoon.
Then, after a couple naps, we decided to head up to campus.
First we trekked over to the nursing department.
It sure is different than 3rd floor Old Main!
We had some great memories up there.
I showed them the classroom and lab.
A few of the kids were very afraid of the mannequins.
So, we decided to take a picture of all of us
on the bed of one of the mannequins.
(Paige and Claire are basically on his head).
As you can see - Kate was a little nervous...
After checking out the nursing department,
we decided to take the very hungry kiddos to the caf for dinner.
Since it's summer and it was Sunday evening,
the caf was pretty empty.
Which worked great for us!
We had some great conversations,
reminiscing about the caf in our days...
Not at all like the a la carte options that are there now!!!
We even had "uncle Kyle" take a pic of the crew.
What a fun afternoon.
I really miss these ladies.
And it was so fun to have all of the kids with us too!
Who would have thought 14 years ago
that we would be where we are now!
